36 Days of Type 2017

36 Days of Type is a project that invited Designers, Illustrators and Graphic Artists to express their particular view on letters and numbers of our alphabet. 36 Days of restless creativity, where participants are challenged to design a letter or number each day, resulting an outcome of the ability to represent the same symbol from many different perspectives.

This was always going to be a big project for me, as someone who is very reluctant to share everything I make, producing 36 artworks to a standard I'm comfortable with proved to be a challenge. Even though there are some I'm not happy with, overall I am super proud to have finished the series. I wanted to make this a learning project for myself too, to try out different techniques and not do the same thing every day. With the majority of work being made in Cinema 4D and rendered on Octane, I learnt so much more about those tools than I did before. I received such an overwhelming response from friends, family, other designers that I look up to and the whole 36 Days community. This is definitely a project I'd love to do every year.
